Kerry Richman Mitchell has always cared deeply for people and their paths in life.
In her early 20’s she began working as a waitress. Then after throwing her back out, she went into sales. As a successful executive recruiter for 12 years, she led her office each year in production eventually opening her own recruiting consulting firm. Hungry for change, she began a 30-year career in real estate and has completed 1,000’s of successful transactions.
After spending 11 very successful years in the real estate arena in Maryland, Kerry relocated to Tampa Bay, Florida, became a Broker Associate in 2005 and managed 13 agents.
While managing 2 offices in Sarasota, Florida in 2005, Kerry began to hear about green built structures being healthier and more energy efficient. She went into a deep self-study mode, researching wondering why no one was training the real estate industry on these issues. So, Kerry established Green Real Estate Education, took it upon herself to self-educate, did her own research and wrote courses for the various professions within the real estate industry, gaining CEU approvals in trade associations in over 17 states. Kerry found experts in green insurance and collaborated in writing “Green Building for Insurance Professionals.” That effort resulted in gaining CEU approval in all 50 states. She is responsible for educating close to 20,000 in sustainability metrics and green building basics in the various business sectors.
Recognizing the abrupt changes that are shaking up real estate arena, Kerry wanted to offer clients guidelines on how to buy and sell real estate on their own so she created a new paradigm and established Premier RE Consultants and Real Estate Consumer Training.
She also created her Real Estate Provider Directory to connect consumers directly with those involved in transactions without having to go to thousands of sites.
Kerry divides her time between Oakton, Virginia and Tampa, Florida. Her son Neil, an accomplished musician and daughter in-law Kim live in Maryland. Kerry loves to brag about having a PHD from the School of Hard Knocks as many others do and loves to pretend, she is still at Woodstock. Yes, she WAS there IN 1969.
